Hey,everyone! Just trying out the rating system, so I figured I’d attack Wordpress! Wordpress, overall, is probably the best CMS I have dealth with, though Joomla is arguable.
The main reason they don’t get the pure 5 revolves around the feel of adding plugins. Their plugins don’t tell you when they were last updated, unless you click the install button first. I would really like to be able to organize plugin searches by recent updates! I hate getting my hopes up on a plugin, only to find that it has been 365+ days since last update!
The annoys me to no end also. I know i am not the greatest at webdesign but i like the idea of CMS’s. I have only tickerd with wordpress once or twice but it was fairly simple to use. Joolma on the other hand gives me a headache, it is what i am currently using and it is why i am about to switch CMS’s again. I also like PHP Nuke but it is more for Community sites and what not.
Never used PHP Nuke, but did dive into a little bit of DotNetNuke myself. I installed Joomla onto a web page once, piddled around, then switched it back to Wordpress. Wordpress is definitely fun, and after playing with it for about a month or two now, I’m alot fonder of it.
Also, Wordpress has a handy dandy iPhone app that allows you to view comments, and post blogs from your iPhone. However, I haven’t quite figured out how to write my own comment on it yet.
